Marketing Account Assistant

We are looking for a promising Marketing Account Assistant to support our Communications Director and Marketing Director. Though you’ll be holding an  entry level position, your work will be instrumental in the development and execution of communications and digital marketing plans.

Our ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and creative individual, brimming with potential. A fervent interest in the field partnered with excellent writing skills are very important to us. If you’re also well-organised, confident and a natural communicator, we’d like to meet you.

This position is a great opportunity for an applicant looking to learn on the job while working towards for a Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification. The cost of this course will be covered by the agency and you will be permitted one study day a month. Any additional study time should happen outside of working hours.

Responsibilities

  • Keep calendars (editorial, press conferences, events, awards etc.) and media lists.
  • Conduct research to support content planning for our clients and the agency.
  • Monitoring relevant trade media titles, key nationals and social media sites for potential news comment opportunities.
  • Assist in organising and execution of events and campaigns.
  • Draft and distribute client content such as newsletters, press releases, press clippings, website copy, EDM’s, blogs and social media posts.
  • Assist with day-to-day press office management for clients.
  • Support with website updates, social media copy and images, digital reporting and email marketing.
  • Help manage the agency’s inbound marketing platform- HubSpot – and the agency’s social media platforms.
  • Assist with the compilation of campaign analytics reports.
  • Undertake general administrative and clerical duties and help manage projects through our project management tool.
  • Assist in the agency’s business development campaign including building contacts lists and undertaking research for business development purposes.

Experience and credentials

  • Interest in marketing and communications concepts and practices.
  • Willingness to follow industry trends and current methods.
  • Computer savvy; working knowledge Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Well-organised, able to work with deadlines.
  • Outgoing and confident team player.
